Magneto-spectroscopy of Epitaxial Graphene

چکیده
Received Day Month Year Revised Day Month Year We present a far infrared investigation of the optical transitions in epitaxial graphene subjected to a perpendicular magnetic field. Cyclotron-resonance-like transitions between adjacent electron Landau levels are observed, as well as interband transitions. The results are discussed in terms of existing theoretical models of Dirac fermions in graphene, and the relevant optical selection rules.

High Electron Mobility in Epitaxial Trilayer Graphene on Off-axis SiC(0001)
The van de Waals heterostructure formed by an epitaxial trilayer graphene is of particular interest due to its unique tunable electronic band structure and stacking sequence. However, to date, there has been a lack in the fundamental understanding of the electronic properties of epitaxial trilayer graphene. Here, we investigate the electronic properties of large-area epitaxial trilayer graphene...
متن کاملMultidimensional characterization, Landau levels and Density of States in epitaxial graphene grown on SiC substrates
Using high-temperature annealing conditions with a graphite cap covering the C-face of, both, on axis and 8° off-axis 4H-SiC samples, large and homogeneous single epitaxial graphene layers have been grown. Raman spectroscopy shows evidence of the almost free-standing character of these monolayer graphene sheets, which was confirmed by magneto-transport measurements. On the best samples, we find...
متن کاملResonant excitation of graphene k-phonon and intra-landau-level excitons in magneto-optical spectroscopy [corrected].
Precise infrared magnetotransmission experiments have been performed in magnetic fields up to 32 T on a series of multilayer epitaxial graphene samples. We observe changes in the spectral features and broadening of the main cyclotron transition when the incoming photon energy is in resonance with the lowest Landau level separation and the energy of a K point optical phonon. We have developed a ...
